Shawn Ross reassigned to minor league camp

Utilityman Shawn Ross has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Pittsburgh Pirates. (Pittsburgh Pirates on X)
Fantasy Impact:
A career .190 hitter in three minor league seasons, Ross went 6-for-13 with three doubles, a home run, and six RBI for the Pirates this spring. During his professional career, Ross has primarily caught, but can also most of the infield positions. He does have some pop as evidenced by 23 home runs with High-A Greensboro in 2024. However, plate discipline will need to improve if he is to get a shot in the majors. In his career, Ross has struck out 322 times in 694 at bats. He will likely open the year in Triple-A Indianapolis.
