Zach Dezenzo (elbow) shut down from throwing after flare-up
by Bruno Mulé | Astros Correspondent | Wed, Mar 18th 10:16am EDT
Dezenzo's right elbow flared up while playing for Team Italy in the World Baseball Classic, and he won't do any throwing over the next few days. The injury hasn't affected him at the plate, and he remains available as a designated hitter for the Astros' remaining Grapefruit League games. (Brian McTaggart)
Fantasy Impact:
With Yordan Alvarez set to handle DH duties once the regular season begins, Dezenzo will need to demonstrate he can throw at full distance and velocity before camp ends to have a realistic shot at the Opening Day roster as a backup corner infielder and outfielder.
