With Shane Bieber (forearm) opening the season on the IL and Trey Yesavage being managed on a monitored workload, Berrios figures into Toronto's rotation picture despite being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his right elbow Wednesday. Manager John Schneider said Berrios is pain-free, and the plan is for him to resume throwing soon with the intention of pitching through the injury. (Keegan Matheson)
Fantasy Impact:
Berrios will not be ready for Opening Day, but could make starts earlier in the season. When Toronto is at full strength, he is expected to shift to a bullpen role.
