Ben Gamel reassigned to minor league camp

by David Leisering | Braves Correspondent | Fri, Mar 20th 8:02pm EDT

Veteran outfielder Ben Gamel has been reassigned to minor league camp by the Atlanta Braves. (Atlanta Braves on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Gamel has played parts of nine seasons at the big league level and has 723 games of experience under his belt. His career got off to a promising start when he hit .275 with 11 home runs and 59 RBI with Seattle in 2017. However, his production has been in decline since then and he has struggled finding a consistent role. The 34-year-old has not played in a major league game since 2024 and he will open the season in Triple-A Gwinnett. Gamel is a solid security blanket in the event the Braves run into injury issues in 2026.
