Jasson Dominguez optioned to Triple-A

by David Leisering | Yankees Correspondent | Fri, Mar 20th 9:29pm EDT

Jasson Dominguez has been optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by the New York Yankees. (New York Yankees on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Dominguez did everything he could this spring to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster as he batted .342 (13-for-38) with nine runs scored, three home runs, three stolen bases, and ten runs driven in. However, the path to regular playing time just wasn't in the cards as the Yankees will go with Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, and Trent Grisham in the outfield while Giancarlo Stanton is healthy and ready to be the everyday designated hitter. Dominguez is still just 23 years old and he will open the year in Triple-A. He'll likely be in New York at some point this season, but the Yankees are giving him an opportunity to play everyday by sending him down.
