Dominic Smith makes Braves Opening Day roster on split deal

Smith received a spring training invite from Atlanta in mid-February and slashed .242/.342/.364 with one home run and four RBI across 38 Grapefruit League plate appearances. The Braves signed him to a one-year split contract Saturday. (Atlanta Braves)
