Jeff Hoffman blows first save opportunity of 2026

Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman blew his first save opportunity of the season on Friday against the Athletics.
Fantasy Impact:
Athletics catcher Shea Langeliers clubbed his second solo home run of the game off Hoffman with one out in the ninth on Friday, handing the veteran reliever his first blown save in as many chances. Hoffman endured a bumpy first season with the Blue Jays in 2025, blowing seven regular-season saves and posting a 4.37 ERA in 71 outings. His leash as the club's closer may not be as long as it was a season ago, a situation certainly worth monitoring for fantasy managers early in the season.
