Kyle Freeland takes loss in season opener Friday
by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Sat, Mar 28th 8:44am EDT
Kyle Freeland went 4.1 innings and allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts in Colorado's 2-1 loss to the Marlins in the season opener for both teams.
Fantasy Impact:
Freeland made his franchise-record fifth Opening Day start and allowed two runs in the second inning, accounting for all of Miami's offense on Friday. Freeland is coming off of a 2025 season that saw him go 5-17 with a 4.98 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. While you could do worse than having Freeland on your fantasy roster, it's probably best to stay away from all Colorado pitchers at this point.
