Sonny Gray allows four runs in Red Sox debut

Gray made his regular-season debut with Boston on Saturday, giving up a solo home run to Sal Stewart in the third inning and allowing at least one run in each of the first three frames. He needed 35 pitches to get through the first inning alone, finishing with four runs — three earned — on six hits and a walk across four innings, striking out five.

Gray is scheduled to make his next start against the Padres next weekend.
