Drew Pomeranz saddled with loss Sunday

Drew Pomeranz suffered the loss on Sunday as he pitched an inning and allowed three runs on two hits and two walks in the Angels' 9-7 setback to the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
Pomeranz pitched a perfect inning in the Angels' season opener on Thursday, but struggled on Sunday as he was called upon to try to preserve a 6-6 tie in the eighth inning. After a hit batter and an intentional walk, Isaac Paredes ripped a two-out, two-run double followed by an RBI double from Jose Altuve to account for the damage. Pomeranz pitched 57 games for the Cubs last season and posted a 2.17 ERA - after not pitching in a big league game since 2021. Despite the hiccup on Sunday, Pomeranz should still be a key member of the Angels' bullpen in 2026.
