Sandy Alcantara records second career Maddux Wednesday

Sandy Alcantara recorded his second career Maddux in Wednesday’s 10-0 victory over the Chicago White Sox, needing just 93 pitches (69 strikes) to complete a shutout. He allowed only three hits, didn’t issue a walk and struck out seven batters.
Fantasy Impact:
Alcantara is the first pitcher to record a shutout in the 2026 season and notched the fifth of his career. He has looked like his old self from his 2022 Cy Young campaign, as he has yet to allow an earned run through 16 innings and owns a 0.56 WHIP. He is scheduled to take the mound again on Tuesday against the Cincinnati Reds.
