Francisco Alvarez clubs two homers as Mets thump Giants
by Chris Schommer | Mets Correspondent | Sat, Apr 4th 2:02pm EDT
Francisco Alvarez went 2-for-5 in a 10-3 win over the Giants with two home runs, two runs scored, and two RBI.
Fantasy Impact:
Alvarez has struggled to make more than a modest impact at the plate to begin the season, driving in runs for the first time since the opening game for the Mets. After Friday's win over San Francisco, the catcher is batting .286 with three home runs, five runs scored, and three RBI through eight games as one of the more productive bats as part of an inconsistent Mets lineup for manager Carlos Mendoza to begin the season.
