Mason Englert allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk while striking out two in Tuesday’s 9-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs.

Drew Rasmussen was originally scheduled to start Tuesday but was scratched to be with his wife ahead of the birth of their child. The Tampa Bay Rays turned to a bullpen game, with Mason Englert getting the start. Englert will likely have a couple of days off before being used again out of the bullpen. He now owns a 9.45 ERA and 1.95 WHIP across four appearances, including one start, in 2026.
