Griffin Conine swipes bag in loss Tuesday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Wed, Apr 8th 4:10am EDT
Griffin Conine went 0-for-1 with a walk and stolen base in Tuesday’s 6-3 extra-inning loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
Fantasy Impact:
Conine came off the bench for Austin Slater as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning. He struck out in that at-bat but drew a walk and stole a base in the ninth. Despite owning a .250/.368/.500 slash line, Conine has not started in four consecutive games, as the Miami Marlins have faced left-handed pitchers in each contest. He’s best left on waivers until he sees more consistent playing time against southpaws.
