Sandy Alcantara tosses eight innings Tuesday

Sandy Alcantara allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six in Tuesday’s 6-3 extra-inning loss to the Cincinnati Reds.
Fantasy Impact:
Alcantara was dominant once again, recording 1-2-3 innings in the first, second, third, fourth and eighth. However, he was pulled in the ninth with one out after allowing a double to Matt McLain and a walk to Elly De La Cruz, and the Reds went on to tie the game before winning in the 10th. Alcantara was just two outs away from becoming the first Major Leaguer in 11 years to throw back-to-back shutouts, and Miami Marlins manager Clayton McCullough faced significant backlash following the decision to pull him. Through three starts, Alcantara owns a dominant 0.74 ERA and 0.58 WHIP with 18 strikeouts across 24.1 innings. His next scheduled start is on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers.
