Yates is hoping his next step will be a minor-league rehab assignment and plans to discuss that with coaches and trainers Wednesday. He threw 26 pitches to hitters Tuesday — his first such session after going without leg activity for nearly two weeks — and said afterward that his body "felt good" overall but noted his legs are still catching up. "The legs aren't as fresh as I'd probably like them to be. But, overall, I think it was good," Yates said. (Rhett Bollinger)

Fantasy Impact:

Manager Kurt Suzuki offered a similar assessment, saying he thought Yates "looked fine" and adding, "Hopefully we'll see him sooner than later."
