by Bruno Mulé | Angels Correspondent | Wed, Apr 8th 3:05pm EDT

Stephenson signed a three-year, $33 million deal with the Angels after the 2023 season and previously underwent UCL reconstruction in May 2024. He experienced thoracic outlet syndrome symptoms over the winter and was eased into spring workouts before right elbow inflammation emerged and landed him on the 60-day IL prior to Opening Day. Fantasy Impact:

He underwent ligament and flexor repair surgery on the elbow Wednesday and is likely to miss the remainder of the season. The contract includes a $2.5 million club option for 2027, leaving open the possibility of a return next season depending on his rehab progress.
