MacKenzie Gore fans nine in shutout of Mariners

Gore is 2-0 with a 2.76 ERA and 25 strikeouts across 16.1 innings this season and lines up next to face the Athletics in Sacramento. Four of the six balls Seattle put in play Wednesday exceeded 104 mph off the bat, but only one resulted in a hit — a line drive single from Mitch Garver.
