Mike Trout has two hits; scores three times Sunday

by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Mon, Apr 13th 12:23am EDT

Mike Trout went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored to help the Angels to a 9-6 win in Cincinnati on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Trout scored a season-high three runs on Sunday and finished the series with the Reds by going 3-for-7 with a pair of doubles, three walks, three runs scored, and three runs batted in over the last two games. Trout entered the series on a 2-for-29 skid, as his average dipped to a season-low .174 after an 0-for-4 performance to open the series with Cincinnati on Friday. However, the last two games got him back over .200 and he's now hitting .208 (11-for-53) on the season. He's tied for the American League lead with 15 walks and ranks fourth in runs with 13. While he likely won't return to the perennial MVP candidate he was earlier in his career, Trout is still dangerous and should be owned in all leagues.
