Andrew Abbott continues uneven start in loss to Angels Sunday

by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Mon, Apr 13th 11:01am EDT

Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott continued his even start to the season Sunday, allowing seven earned runs in just three innings in a loss to the visiting Angels.

Fantasy Impact:

Abbott surrendered eight hits and a pair of walks in his three frames of work, getting dealt his second loss of the season in the process. He struck out just one. The 26-year-old southpaw has alternated between good and bad to begin the season, allowing two runs or fewer in two of his four starts, and 11 combined earned runs in 8 2/3 innings in his other two. He will look to keep the trend going, at least for one more start, in his next scheduled outing on Saturday afternoon on the road against the Twins.
