Shane McClanahan earns first win of season Tuesday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Wed, Apr 15th 3:20am EDT

Shane McClanahan allowed three runs (two earned) on two hits and four walks while striking out four over five innings in Tuesday's 8-5 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Fantasy Impact:

McClanahan picked up his first win of the season, his first in 1,033 days. He missed the past two seasons due to left elbow issues, including Tommy John surgery in 2024 and a nerve issue that sidelined him in 2025. While he’s issued 11 walks across 13.2 innings this season, he’s managed to work around the command issues, holding opponents to a .106 average. He owns a 3.95 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the year and will look to deliver another solid outing on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
