by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Wed, Apr 15th 9:16am EDT
Mitch Keller lasted only four innings on Tuesday night and suffered his first loss of the season as the Pirates dropped a 5-4 decision to the Nationals. He fell to 1-1 on the year.
Fantasy Impact:
Keller allowed five runs on six hits, walked four, and struck out three in his four innings of work on Tuesday. Five of the six hits he allowed were singles, but he did allow a solo home run to CJ Abrams in the third. Keller labored through 90 pitches in four innings and did not record a perfect 1-2-3 frame on the night. It was easily Keller's worst start of the young season as he entered having allowed only two earned runs in his first 18 innings. He now has a 2.86 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP and will look to rebound on Sunday against the Rays.
