Nick Pivetta (elbow) on IL with MRI results pending

Matt Waldron (lower body) is expected to be reinstated from the 15-day IL later this week to take over Pivetta's rotation spot. No return timeline has been established for Pivetta, as the Padres are still awaiting MRI results on his elbow. (Jeff Sanders)
Fantasy Impact:
Pivetta exited Sunday's start against Colorado with what was initially labeled right elbow stiffness. The Padres placed him on the 15-day IL Tuesday and reclassified the injury as inflammation, with the severity to be determined once the imaging results are in.
