Ha-Seong Kim (finger) has been taking live batting practice and is scheduled to play in a simulated game on Thursday. If all goes well, he would likely begin a rehab assignment in the next week or two. (Mark Bowman on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Kim is recovering from surgery in January to repair a torn tendon in his right middle finger, sustained by falling on ice in South Korea. He signed a one-year, $20 million contract with the Braves in December after he hit .253 with three home runs and 12 RBI in 98 plate appearances in Atlanta last season. Kim's imminent return likely shifts left fielder Mike Yastrzemski to the bench with Mauricio Dubon moving to left field and Kim taking over at shortstop. Catcher Sean Murphy is also returning soon so the Braves, who have the second-best offense in baseball with a team average of .278, will have their lineup at full strength shortly.
