Zach Neto power, speed drought continues Saturday
by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Sun, Apr 19th 8:50am EDT
Zach Neto went 1-for-3 with a double and a walk on Saturday as the Angels suffered a 4-1 loss to the Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Neto extended his hitting streak to a modest four games on Saturday and has gone 5-for-15 (.333) during the stretch. However, the shortstop hit five home runs in his first 14 games but has gone homerless in eight straight contests. Neto was also caught stealing on Saturday and he's now just 1-for-3 in stolen base attempts this season after averaging 28 steals over the last two years. His only stolen base in 2026 came in the third game of the year, in Houston, on March 28. Neto is hitting .250 with an .842 OPS through 22 games, but fantasy owners drafted him for his power-speed combination and, especially, the speed portion of his game has not arrived yet.
