Astros right-hander Cristian Javier (shoulder) will be out until late May/early June, according to general manager Dana Brown. (Brian McTaggart on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Brown suggested Javier could return "a little sooner" than his expected timeline, but the right-hander will nonetheless miss another five weeks with what was diagnosed as a Grade 2 shoulder strain, the same ailment that ace Hunter Brown is dealing with, with a similar timeline to return. Javier was touched up for a 12.54 ERA in three starts before hitting the shelf.
