Pete Fairbanks locks down save as Marlins top Brewers 5-3

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Mon, Apr 20th 6:28am EDT

Pete Fairbanks struck out two batters in a scoreless outing to earn the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

Fantasy Impact:

Fairbanks had a couple of rough outings to begin April, allowing six earned runs in two innings, but he has bounced back nicely. He threw two scoreless innings in the weekend series against the Brewers and recorded his first save since March 28 on Sunday. He owns a 7.71 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 10 strikeouts across seven innings and remains the Miami Marlins’ closer. He will look to carry his improved form into the club’s upcoming series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
