Dansby Swanson provides walk-off winner Thursday

by David Leisering | Cubs Correspondent | Fri, Apr 24th 9:45am EDT

Dansby Swanson went 2-for-5 with two runs batted in, including a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the tenth as the Cubs completed a four-game sweep of the Phillies on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Swanson laced a single off of Tanner Banks in the tenth to plate Ian Happ for the game-winning run on Thursday as the Cubs completed a four-game sweep of the reeling Phillies. Swanson's other RBI came in the second on a sacrifice fly that scored Carson Kelly for the Cubs' first run of the game. While the average still sits below the Mendoza line, Swanson has provided some clutch moments for the Cubs and has been getting on base with a 24:19 K:BB ratio. All told, he is slashing .192/.333/.386 with five home runs, 17 RBI, and is tied for fifth in the National League with 20 runs scored.
