Christian Scott optioned to Triple-A Syracuse

by David Leisering | Mets Correspondent | Fri, Apr 24th 2:09pm EDT

Christian Scott has been optioned to Triple-A Syracuse by the New York Mets. Carl Edwards Jr. had his contract selected by the Mets and will join the team on Friday against Colorado. (Will Sammon on X)

Fantasy Impact:

In his first start in the majors since 2024, Scott lasted just 1.1 innings on Thursday. He allowed one run on no hits, walked five, and struck out one against the Twins. He needed 43 pitches to record four outs and threw just 18 of those pitches for strikes. Coming off of Tommy John surgery, Scott was 0-2 with a 5.27 ERA and an encouraging 17:2 K:BB ratio in three starts at Syracuse prior to his call-up. His start did not go according to plan, but he should get another opportunity in the majors at some point this season.
