Michael Lorenzen limited the Mets to one run on seven hits in seven innings on Friday as the Rockies earned a 4-3 victory in the series opener.
Fantasy Impact:
Lorenzen easily had his best start in a Rockies' uniform, allowing a season-low one run while going a season-long seven innings. He hadn't pitched more than 5.2 innings in his first five starts of the year. Lorenzen did scatter seven hits and has now allowed at least seven hits in all six starts, putting his season total at an MLB-high 47 hits in just 28.2 innings. In his last two outings though, he has pitched to a 3.00 ERA in 12 innings, allowing 14 hits with a 6:1 K:BB ratio. Lorenzen evened his record at 2-2 and lowered his ERA to 5.97 on the year. He's scheduled to make his next start on Thursday in Cincinnati.
