Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz homered and walked twice in five trips to the plate during Saturday's 9-2 rout of the Tigers.

De La Cruz's second-inning two-run home run was already the third of the game for the Reds at the time, giving him nine long balls on the season. He also walked twice and scored an additional run on the evening. The 24-year-old superstar is now slashing .275/.352/.569 with nine homers, 24 runs, 20 RBI, six stolen bases, and a .921 OPS through 27 games on the season.
