Jasson Dominguez is being called up to the New York Yankees according to multiple reports. The move will be made official prior to Monday's game against the Texas Rangers. (Francys Romero on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Dominguez heads back to New York following the demotion of Luis Gil after the righthander struggled again in his start on Sunday. Dominguez was off to a good start at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, hitting .306 with three home runs, 13 runs batted in, and eight stolen bases in 22 contests. Dominguez hit 10 home runs in 123 games with the Yankees last season and is a career .248 hitter with 16 home runs and 29 stolen bases in 149 games over parts of three seasons in New York. Giancarlo Stanton has missed each of the last two games with a calf injury. Given Stanton's injury history, he could be placed on the injured list in, at least, a precautionary move. If that happens, Dominguez could see quite a few at bats in the short term.
