Reid Detmers allows three runs in no-decision Sunday

by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Mon, Apr 27th 12:27am EDT

Reid Detmers allowed three runs on five hits, walked one, and struck out five in five innings on Sunday. He settled for a no-decision as the Royals came from behind to defeat the Angels, 12-9.

Fantasy Impact:

Detmers allowed one run on three hits through the first five innings, but he pitched to three batters in the sixth and exited after allowing a single, a home run, and a walk. Detmers left with a 6-3 lead, but the bullpen could not hang on in the final innings. Other than the hiccup in the sixth, it was another solid outing from Detmers, who is 1-2 with a 4.28 ERA in six starts this season. He has a solid 36:9 K:BB ratio and will take the mound on Saturday against the Mets.
