Kirby Yates makes season debut Friday

Kirby Yates tossed a scoreless seventh inning on Friday, pitching around a one-out single in his season debut against the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Yates was activated from the injured list by the Angels on Tuesday and made his first appearance of the season on Friday. He struck out George Springer to start the seventh inning before allowing a pinch-hit single to Yohendrick Pinango. After a balk got Pinango into scoring position, Yates retired Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Kazuma Okamoto to end the inning. Yates, who is two saves shy of 100 for his career, should be in the mix for the closer's role moving forward.
