Rhett Lowder settles in for solid start in no-decision Sunday versus Tigers
by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Mon, Apr 27th 11:54am EDT
Reds right-hander Rhett Lowder pitched five innings of two-run ball and was dealt a no-decision in an eventual 8-3 loss to the Tigers on Sunday
Fantasy Impact:
Lowder coughed up a pair of first-inning runs on a Kerry Carpenter bases-loaded double, but settled in after that. He ended up scattering six hits while walking just one against a healthy seven strikeouts on the afternoon. The first inning has been the 24-year-old's Kryptonite this season, but he will carry a quality 3.18 ERA into his next scheduled start on Saturday at home against the Pirates.
