Mason Montgomery perfect in opener role Monday

Mason Montgomery served as the Pirates' opener on Monday and pitched a perfect 1-2-3 first inning against the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact:
Montgomery started a string of 6.2 perfect innings by Pittsburgh pitchers before the Cardinals' Alec Burleson broke up the bid on a single with two outs in the seventh. Montgomery retired JJ Wetherholt, Ivan Herrera (on strikes), and Burleson in the first inning. The lefthander is 1-0 with a 3.65 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 12.1 innings this season. It was the second time in 13 appearances that he served as the Pirates' opener.
