Vaughn Grissom bats third Monday, records two hits

Vaughn Grissom went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI on Monday as the Angels dropped an 8-7 decision to the White Sox.
Fantasy Impact:
Grissom hit third in the lineup for the first time in his big league career on Monday and had two hits, including a double, to continue his hot start to the season. A once promising prospect in the Braves' organization, Grissom was traded to Boston after the 2023 season for Chris Sale. His career derailed with the Red Sox as he played in just 31 games in two seasons with Boston and batted .190 at the big league level. The Angels took a chance and acquired him in a trade back in December and, since being called up, Grissom is hitting .375 (12-for-32) with four doubles, six RBI, and a 2:6 K:BB ratio in 11 games. While he won't help much in the power or speed categories, he's a decent contact hitter who hits for a solid average. Grissom is 8-for-16 with four doubles in his last four games.
