Merrill Kelly continued his struggles on Sunday as he pitched 4.1 innings and allowed six runs on eight hits, walked three, and struck out five.
Fantasy Impact:
Kelly struck out five batters, but the Cubs' offense hammered the righthander for six runs on eight hits - half of which went for extra bases. He allowed his sixth home run of the year to Moises Ballesteros in the third. After missing the first three weeks of the season, Kelly's first start was promising as he gave up two runs in 5.1 innings in a win over Baltimore. In his last three starts, however, Kelly has pitched to a 12.51 ERA, allowing 19 runs on 24 hits in 13.2 innings with an 11:11 K:BB ratio. He's lined up to pitch against the Mets on Saturday.
