Jose Soriano hit hard Monday in loss to White Sox
by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Tue, May 5th 12:18am EDT
Jose Soriano lasted only four innings on Monday and allowed five runs on eight hits, walked three, and struck out five as the Angels were blanked by the White Sox, 6-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Uh-oh. Soriano, who put up video game numbers in his first six starts of the year, has come back to Earth in his last two outings. Monday's start was easily worse than his previous start as he allowed season-highs in runs and hits while lasting a season-low four innings. After going 5-0 with a 0.24 ERA in his first six starts, Soriano is 0-2 with an 8.00 ERA in his last two outings, allowing eight runs on 14 hits - including four home runs - and six walks in nine innings. He will look to get back on track against the Blue Jays on Sunday.
