Ian Seymour picks up first career save Wednesday
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Thu, May 7th 2:35am EDT
Ian Seymour fired a perfect ninth inning in Wednesday's 3-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays to earn the first save of his career.
Fantasy Impact:
Seymour struck out Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to begin the inning before getting Daulton Varsho and Ernie Clement to line out. He threw nine of 11 pitches for strikes and has now gone seven consecutive appearances without allowing an earned run, earning the trust of manager Kevin Cash in high-leverage situations. While Bryan Baker is expected to handle most save opportunities, Seymour should continue seeing meaningful late-inning work.
