Keider Montero rock-solid in no-decision Friday versus Royals
by Brenton Kemp | Tigers Correspondent | Sat, May 9th 12:34pm EDT
Tigers right-hander Keider Montero pitched six innings of one-run ball in a no-decision during Friday's loss to the Royals.
Fantasy Impact:
Montero was excellent in this one, allowing just three hits and a walk with four strikeouts on the night. Unfortunately for him, the Royals rallied late off the Tigers' bullpen and stole what would have been his third win of the season in a 4-3 loss. The 25-year-old has been rock-solid since joining the big club this season, issuing a 3.18 ERA across seven starts. He next lines up to take on the Mets on the road on Thursday.
