Ryan O'Hearn goes deep as part of three-hit night

by David Leisering | Pirates Correspondent | Fri, May 15th 6:52am EDT

Ryan O'Hearn went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, lifting the Pirates to a 7-2 win over the Rockies on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

O'Hearn hit his two-run homer off of Rockies' starter, Chase Dollander, to cap off a three-run first inning for the Pirates. He then singled and scored in the third and singled again in the sixth for his first three-hit game since April 15. After going 4-for-29 in an eight-game stretch from May 3-12, O'Hearn has now gone 5-for-8 with two homers and three RBI in his last two contests. Signed to a two-year deal with Pittsburgh in the offseason, O'Hearn has been an impressive under-the-radar acquisition for the Pirates as he is hitting .299 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 42 games.
