Jose Soriano posts "wildest" pitching line of season Saturday
by David Leisering | Angels Correspondent | Sun, May 17th 10:34am EDT
Jose Soriano allowed just one hit in 5.1 innings on Saturday, but was charged with six runs on six walks and a hit batter in the Angels' 15-2 loss to the Dodgers.
Fantasy Impact:
Soriano allowed just one run on one hit with two walks and six strikeouts through the first five innings. He then retired Shohei Ohtani to start the sixth inning before disaster struck. Soriano issued back-to-back walks, hit a batter, than allowed back-to-back walks again in the next five batters he faced to end his night. All of the baserunners he allowed in the sixth came in to score as the Dodgers blew open the game. Soriano fell to 6-3 with a 2.41 ERA on the season and is scheduled to take on the Athletics on Thursday.
