Gabriel Moreno homers Monday in win over Giants

by David Leisering | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Tue, May 19th 6:46am EDT

Gabriel Moreno went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run on Monday, helping the Diamondbacks to a 12-2 victory over the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Moreno took Robbie Ray deep in the fifth for his second home run of the season. Earlier, he singled and scored in the third as part of another multi-hit performance. Moreno has had four straight games with at least two hits and is batting .474 (9-for-19) with five runs scored and five RBI over the stretch, raising his season average from .203 to .261 in the process. Moreno doesn't hit for a ton of power as he belted a career-high nine home runs, in 83 games, last season. However, he is a career .280 hitter in 342 games and, at a thin catcher position, is worth a roster spot in deeper and two-catcher leagues at the very least.
