Bryan Baker locks down save Tuesday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Wed, May 20th 3:41am EDT

Bryan Baker fired a perfect 1-2-3 ninth inning in Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles to secure his 13th save of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Bryan Baker was tasked with facing a tough stretch of hitters in Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman and Pete Alonso, but needed just 10 pitches to retire the side. He induced flyouts from Henderson and Rutschman before striking out Alonso to close out the game. After allowing earned runs in back-to-back appearances, Baker has bounced back over his last two outings, surrendering no runs on one hit while collecting two saves. He now owns a 2.66 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on the season.
