Janson Junk gives up eight runs Wednesday

by Nicholas Rodriguez | Marlins Correspondent | Wed, May 20th 9:40pm EDT

Janson Junk allowed eight runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out three in Wednesday's 9-1 loss against the Atlanta Braves.

Fantasy Impact:

Junk ran into trouble early Wednesday, allowing three runs in the second inning before things unraveled in the fifth, when he surrendered five consecutive hits and five runs before being pulled from the game. He has struggled badly of late, giving up 19 runs across his last three starts. After posting an impressive 2.83 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in April, Junk owns an 8.18 ERA and 1.59 WHIP in May, making him difficult to trust moving forward. His next scheduled start is on Monday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
