Tommy Troy has two hits in major league debut Sunday

Tommy Troy went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored in his major league debut on Sunday, helping the Diamondbacks to a 9-1 victory over the Rockies.

Troy was called up before Sunday's game to replace Lourdes Gurriel Jr., who was placed on the injured list, on the roster. Troy started and batted ninth on Sunday and ripped a double in his first big league at bat. He added another double in the sixth and came in to score on both of his hits. Troy, the #4 prospect in the Diamondbacks' organization, was hitting .307 in 44 games with Triple-A Reno prior to his call-up. He's expected to be the everyday starter in left field while Gurriel Jr. is on the shelf.
