Victor Mesa Jr. hits first homer of season Monday

Victor Mesa Jr. went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 9-7 loss against the Baltimore Orioles.
Fantasy Impact:
Mesa was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Sunday with Jonny DeLuca (hamstring) and Jake Fraley (hernia) both on the injured list, and he made an immediate impact by blasting a two-run homer in his first start on Monday. While Mesa may not be an everyday player, he should continue to see plenty of opportunities with the Tampa Bay Rays dealing with multiple injuries in the outfield. He is worth monitoring in fantasy leagues after posting a .350 batting average and 1.010 OPS across 21 games in the minors this season.
