TJ Shook has contract selected by Rockies

by David Leisering | Rockies Correspondent | Mon, Jun 1st 8:35pm EDT

TJ Shook has been called up by the Colorado Rockies from Triple-A Albuquerque and will replace Zach Agnos on the active roster. Lefty Welinton Herrera was transferred to the 60-day IL to open a spot on the 40-man roster. (Colorado Rockies on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Shook, who turned 28 three days ago, will make his major league debut when he gets into his first game. The Rockies added Shook from the Mets in the Rule 5 Draft last winter and, after tossing 4.1 scoreless innings during the spring, has pitched to a 2.89 ERA with a 29:8 K:BB ratio in 28.1 innings in Albuquerque. Shook will provide bullpen depth in Colorado and could stick around for a while if he pitches well.
