by David Leisering | Rays Correspondent | Mon, Jun 8th 11:04pm EDT

Jonathan Heasley (elbow) has been transferred to the 60-day injured list by the Tampa Bay Rays. The move allows Austin Slater, who was called up on Monday, to have a spot on the 40-man roster. (Marc Topkin on X)

Fantasy Impact:

Heasley appeared in one game for the Rays and allowed five runs on eight hits in four innings in a loss to the Orioles on May 27. It was his first appearance since 2024 at the big league level. The righthander sports a 6.04 ERA across 143 career innings in the majors. He was diagnosed as having a right elbow stress reaction and will now be shelved until the end of July, at the earliest.
